My wife is schooling me on trans fats and partially hydrogenated oils, I guess I’m getting old. Okay everyone, while you were all out enjoying your spring, summer and fall, I’ve been repeatedly operated on. I let things go for too long and needed a bunch of surgeries all at once. And during all this, I have not been able to walk on both feet and I got fat, like Mac on always sunny in Philly, except he gained 50 and I gained 60 pounds. How does one gain 60 pounds in a year? My gain was triggered by quitting narcotics, it really revved my appetite. I am very happy to say that even though I can not walk yet, my chronic pain condition is gone. No narcotics, no motrin, no advil or tylenol. I actually feel really good. It was a gamble, the surgeon toldĀ me the structure would be repaired but he did not know if surgery would diminish my pain level. Three surgeries later and I am finally pain free. I can’t even describe how great it is to be cured. I had a very dismal outlook for my future because I couldn’t walk 100 yards without being in horrific pain. My ankles would just collapse and now they are ready for round two of life. I am so thankful that I’m not stuck in chronic pain. I still have a lot of rehab to get walking again (you lose 10% of muscle each week when not walking) but I’ll do it. I’m really excited about doing all the little things that I always took for granted. I’m trying to keep my spirits up because this crawling around is getting old,but I still have a few months of that left, so I have to embrace it. I can’t wait to walk through a metal detector. I’m gonna light it up. I have to close for now. Going to have my staples removed and getting a lighter cast installed. Everything done gets me one step closer to taking my own steps, literally. Can’t wait to walk again.

I’ve slowly been taking an inventory and working on a reel. I now have music available for television commercials. I learned a lot in the process, especially about mixing. I hope to have at least an EP available by spring. Most of the stuff I am working on is blues based rock.
