I’m recovering from foot and ankle surgery. This one was a big surgery. They cut bones in my foot and did a bone graft and made the bones longer. Then they put in a plate and four screws to fasten it all together. They also repaired my Akeles tendon. Well something got infected directly under the incision site. Even though the staples were removed, that incision line is the weakest area of flesh, so the infection tore it open about 1/4 inch and it is draining through there, how gross. I hope it goes away and I hope the wound will heal. I can’t walk for at least another month, minimum. It’s too hard too use wheelchair or crutches outside with ice and snow. Only reason I’ve been using my computer socially is for news and entertainment. It’s been prayer, my computer, conversations with my wife and books. That is what’s keeping me going. Been going about 50 plus hours between sleep because of pain and discomfort, but hopefully this will get better too, it has to, it’s a new year in a few days. 2012 gotta be better.

Good morning. I don’t know if anyone else has had the pleasure, but my neighbors used to wait until late in the evening to butcher their pigs, usually well after I was in bed. I would hear these blood curdling squeals. I asked then immediately following my first night of hearing this, I asked them what was going on and was told they were butchering pigs. Were they farmers? No. We lived out in the middle of nowhere and they just butchered pigs from time to time.
Why tell you about this? Because this dog my neighbors have. He must be a hound. I have never seen him but every single morning this dog just barks for hours non-stop. I can’t be mad at the dog. I’m sure I’d be barking too if I was chained up or in a kennel. Why don’t they check on their dog, don’t they wonder why it’s barking non-stop. The dogs bark sounds like a pigs squeal. Wish it would stop. Obviously, the dog needs some attention. When I am able to walk again, I’m gonna go find this guy and give him some dog treats or maybe a toy. I feel bad for the animal. I don’t think it is tangled up, because the animal does this everyday. Sounds awful.
